This blog post will discuss the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917, arguing that the revolution led to the rise of Communism and greatly challenged capitalist globalisation for seventy four years until the fall of the USSR in 1991.
During the Spring semester 2019, students on the module Globalisation and Resistance in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham/UK carried out independent research projects. In addition to writing a 4000 word essay, they also composed shorter blog posts about their projects for a wider audience. These research reports are published on this blog.
